SUMMARY:Web Science Track at WWW2012
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\nThe Web Science track in www2012 will provide an 
 opportunity to discuss the developments in the interdisciplinary area 
 of Web Science\, which studies the Web not only as a technological inf
 rastructure but also as a phenomenon that is influenced by society and
  business and has an impact across the whole range of human activity. 
 This track will comprise involve panels and a poster session involving
  researchers from laboratories and groups heavily engaged in Web Scien
 ce research. It will discuss some of the key challenges in studying an
 d understanding the Web.\nMain conference participants are strongly en
 couraged to attend but the track also welcomes attendees from the wide
 r Web Science community who would not normally attend the WWW conferen
 ce\; the aim is to encourage a lively discussion of Web Science challe
 nges from the widest range of perspectives and disciplines.&nbsp\;\n&n
